Located on level 3, the music collection features hundreds of scores for all skill levels. Explore works by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Bizet, alongside folk, jazz, rock, and pop selections.

You can even book the piano practice room to bring the music to life.

Interested in tracing your family tree? The Family History area on level 3 is the perfect starting point. Here you’ll find:

  • access to databases such as Ancestry Library Edition and Find My Past
  • historical Queensland and interstate newspapers on microfilm
  • electoral rolls
  • births, deaths and marriages records
  • shipping records

Asia Pacific Design Library

Also on level 2, the Asia Pacific Design Library (APDL) showcases innovation, experimentation, and creativity across the region. The collection is arranged into five categories:

Need a quiet spot to focus? Levels 2 and 3 have study desks with power outlets where you can set up your laptop. Many spaces overlook the Brisbane River, offering inspiring views while you work. With air conditioning, wi-fi, and printing services the library is a comfortable study environment all year round.
