Join us on Mabo Day to honour Eddie Mabo's extraordinary legacy and explore the landmark High Court decision that reshaped Australia's legal and cultural landscape. Using primary sources from State Library's collection, this interactive workshop delves into the history of the Mabo case, its profound impact on Indigenous land rights, and the concept of terra nullius.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of Mabo's pivotal role in the pursuit of justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while also learning more about the remarkable man behind the movement. Whether students are new to this story or eager to expand their knowledge, this workshop offers a meaningful and engaging way to celebrate Mabo's enduring contribution to our nation.
